Education in the age of digital technologies

Research says children who grew up with digital technologies can multitask, learn visually and make fast decisions. Yet, when they are at school, a total different dynamic and experience awaits them. Is our education system engaging and relevant enough for the digital generation? An 11-year old sits behind his computer for an online game of 3 hours with his buddies as soon as he gets from school. He chats and talks to his friends while watching youtube videos and playing online games simultaneously. You can argue that it is bad for the development of his brain and social skills. Yet the digital generation has something that others do not.
